IELTS WRITING TASK 2 - RAVI KIRAN PERUMALA - HYBRID ESSAY
Some people believe that teaching children at home is best for a child’s development while others think that it is important for children to go to school. Discuss the advantages of both methods and give your own opinion. Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
A strata of individuals firmly think that home education brings success to their kids while others are inclined towards sending them to school. In the forthcoming paragraphs, I will discuss the pros for both the approaches and then give my opinion supporting my view with certain examples based on my experience.
Firstly, the young generation who are getting their home based learnings are greatly benefitted with the cost of the schools that are extremely high these days. This section of kids have great flexibility in timings and can learn and concentrate at their parents willing and feasibility. In my opinion that cost that would have incurred with the school learnings can be invested in the areas where children show more interest to learn, for example, kids who show interest in automobiles, can mainly concentrate on electronics and mechanics which will give them a strong base and eventually pave a path to success in this field.
On the other hand, parents who are wanting their children to have school education have lot of options to choose, from education to extra-curricular activities that will enhance the kids thinking and interests. In my opinion, this area of kids have great support and guidance from experienced teachers and can constantly guide them whenever required. Children in this kind of learnings are constantly examined and guided in the areas where they are lagging behind too.
There are advantages in both the ways of learnings, while it purely depends on parents interests and capacity where their future generations must get educated in. Home-based education is not mature in Indian education system yet, while it has lot of scope in establishment and shaping children future unlike the western education system, where this home based education is most popular.
