IELTS WRITING TASK 2 - DIRECT ESSAY - SRI SAI ARAVIND REDDY CHALLA

Many professionals such as doctors and teachers are leaving their own poorer countries to work in developed countries. What problem does this cause? What solutions do you suggest to deal with this situation?

Developed countries are attracting young people in the field of teaching and medicine to leave their poor nations for the sake of work. This has an adverse effect on their home nations which lead to numerous problems in the health and education domain.

When several doctors move abroad, the demand for doctors in their home country sees an upsurge which results in crowded hospitals causing spread of viral diseases and poorer healthcare facilities. The cost of treatment for several problems become unaffordable for people which leads to a rise in mortality rate. On the other hand, teachers leaving the country would lead to degraded quality of education as less qualified teachers occupy the roles that will be vacant. The teacher to student ratio will also decrease resulting in crowded schools and lesser support to think and come up with innovative ideas for modern problems.

However there are solutions to control this. Government should start investing in the improvement of healthcare facilities and provide several benefits for doctors to consider staying back and serving their country. There should be more government schools, which lead to more jobs for teachers within their home country along with some additional benefits.

In conclusion, if the poor countries try to provide more facilities as the developed nations do, and provide more funds for the development of education and healthcare facilities, we can regulate and control the increasing number of people leaving the country.
