IELTS WRITING TASK 2 - DIRECT ESSAY - SATYA PRASAD REDDY PATLOLLA

Children in rural areas are being left in their academic development. Why is this being case? what solution can you suggest?

In academic development, rural areas children are truly left behind. This is a serious issue as it determines the fate of the nation and future generations. The main causes and solutions are discussed in the subsequent paragraphs.

At first, the main reason for this underdevelopment of education is due to no proper establishment of the infrastructure of schools. In many areas there are no schools available for children to attend, they need to travel a long distance for schooling. As there is no transportation facility provided by the government, the parents are making their children stay behind in their homes. Another problem is due to lack of awareness regarding education for the rural resident parents, because of this the parents are not keen on educating their children.

To constrain this issue, the government have to boost free education and establish more schools. To create interest in schooling, conducting campaigns on schooling will help parents and children understand the importance of education. Improving great infrastructure in schools and providing intellectual teachers would create much interest in children on learning. Bringing innovative teaching methods will also help in motivating the children and parents. Mid-day meals also play a major role in creating interest in attending schools, a popular program introduced in south Indian states by the government.

Finally, I think the government should monitor every area to balance the education system. Introducing different schemes and programs in rural schooling like “Amma Vadi” introduced by the AP government marvellously helped the government increase school attendance percentage.
