Nowadays many people choose to be self-employed, rather than to work for a company or organization. Why might this be the case? What could be the disadvantages of being self-employed?   People are more tend to be interested in building their own business and want to be independent and don’t want to work under any firm. They are feeling their services and talent are going into vain in the companies and there is no proper recognition of the hard work they do. There are several reasons why individuals are backing off as employees and starting with business or any other appropriate organization. There are certain consequences to be faced in this kind of situation. This essay aims to discuss the reasons and negatives of self-employment.   Some people have an idea of being independent right from the beginning and don’t want to take orders from other people and don’t like to work under an organization. They always have an idea of changing the world and have big dreams which cannot be fulfilled in a company. These kinds of people believe in taking risks and challenges and have faith in the theory ‘ There is no rose without a thorn’. For instance, people in many private companies are most likely to change their occupations and turn into entrepreneurs. The causes could be insufficient salaries, workload, job dissatisfaction, aspiration to rule. These reasons are leading to many start-ups and several small businesses which are ruling the world these days.   Although there are many cases of shifting the employment, there are cons to be faced by the people who have chosen this path. Starting off the business includes pressure, high responsibilities, management of finance, gaining fame to increase sales, and many other factors. People who are likely to change their stream into freelancing should be prepared to deal with this type of duty. For example, a graphic designer who worked under a company and wants to be self-employed, has to take of finances, pressure and should be able to maintain patience until the project receives. There is a high possibility of being unemployed if the plan misfires. It is suggestible to do projects in the company which will be useful in further free-lancing and quit the job.   In conclusion, even though it is desirable for some people to work by themselves and prove their talent to the world, it is better to know the picture before entering into the field and be aware of the problems to be handled. Personally, I think gaining the experience is imperative to be an entrepreneur or free-lancer which gives a successful career in the path chosen.
