These days people work in more than one job and often change career several times during their life. What are the advantages and disadvantage of this?

Nowadays, people tend to shift their carrier numerous times. Most of the people want to change their working organization while some want their professional advancement. However, there are both pros and cons to deciding to do this. In this essay, I will discuss some of reasons why people wish to switch their profession and some of the challenges to overcome.

Let's begin by looking at the advantages of changing the career. One of the main positives of turning into new vocation is that they will get to know new innovations, technologies. What I mean by this is that by switching into different roles in their profession they will know advancement in the field. It will help them to figure out in which field they are actually interested. For instance, if a computer engineer switches his/her role to a data scientist, he/she will get to know the leading edge of the technology and if he/she finds his/her job captivating then changing his/her path would be useful.

Secondly, people demands more pay to fulfil their daily needs and meet their expectations. Accordingly people tend to choose the job which has high pay scale. Take teachers for an example, many private school teachers are quitting their job and  starting to prepare for government service exams and some started small businesses  because of the salaries they are being paid.

Turning to the other side of the argument, changing job leads to feel insecure and it could become more stressful. Let's take an electronic engineer as example, there will be more pressure on him/her, when he/she changes  his/her role to system engineer because he/she has to know new programming languages and adapt new kind of working environment which he/she is not used to, which often leads to trauma. Another issue is that people end up with unemployment when they take this type of decisions without thinking about further plans. The process of settling in a new job takes time and a clarity on what to choose.

All things considered, switching of fields in the profession could be beneficial sometimes. You need to weigh up the pros of exploring new technologies and demand of high salaries and the cons of stress and unemployment . Personally, I believe the benefits in terms of forefront technologies and more earnings eventually outweigh any negatives.

Have you ever been to any island? Yes, I have! Actually, I lived on an island for 3 months back in 2016. My mother was offered to work at a resort for 2 years, so I joined them there for 3 months.  Isl and life was quite an interesting experience! Are there any islands in your country? Yes, there are. There is one famous island called X, famed for its  crystal clear  water and white sands. I’ve heard the pagodas are very interesting to visit there, as well.
