IELTS WRITING TASK 2 - DISCUSS BOTH VIEWS - SATYA

Some people say that the main environmental problem of our time is the loss of particular species of plants and animals. Others say that there are more important environmental problems.

Discuss both sides and give your opinion.

 

Environmental degradation is one of the most significant and sober issues in modern society which has to be tackled fastidiously, in order to, get a constructive and concrete solution. Numerous reasons can be piled up for this meddling, yet some people propose that the most prominent problem with regards to the environment is the loss of floras and faunas, whereas, others’ context is that there are several other essential environmental problems apart from this which need immediate actions. Which has to be considered the most delicate issue to deal with first? I will explicate the contents in the forthcoming paragraphs and conclude with my point of view at the end.

 

On one side, it is more evident that all the factors in an ecosystem whether it is biotic or abiotic , radically rely on each other for their survival since they are entirely responsible for protecting the food chain, specifically, plants and animals. In other words, owing to the incredible increase in population, mammoth areas of forest reserves have been deteriorated and destructed, so as to, transform them into residential and industrial zones, which in turn, result in the loss of particular bio-life species which reflects in the food web drastically. For instance, due to a lack of one of the most popular bird species – sparrows, many dreadful insects have ramped up rapidly in figures  which are  considered to be more dangerous for our environment.

 

On the flip side, it is more obvious that there are multiple meddles on our mother planet which has to be ironed out apart from reviving the bio reserves. As the utilization of vehicles has ascended in this hyper – modernized globe, they lead to the combustion of fossil fuels which release hazardous and toxic gases into the atmosphere, perhaps, generated the problems of global warming, irregularities in seasons, and other natural calamities. Furthermore, problematic pollutants from the industrial zones mix with water and air which is also one of the reasons for the occurrence of pollution. To add with, improper disposal of domestic and commercial wastes is also accountable for damaging nature.

 

To encapsulate, in my vantage, it is more important to cherish living organisms such as plants and animals as they are interdependent with nature, as well as mankind, while, necessary actions have to be charted out carefully and executed effectively so that our earth can be rescued from other extreme environmental issues.
