IELTS WRITING TASK 2 - DISCUSS BITH VIEWS - Dr. Priyanka Basetty

SOME PEOPLE THINK THAT  HISTORY HAS LITTLE OR NOTHING TO OOFFER, WHILE OTHERS SAY THAT THE STUDY OF THE PAST HELPS US UNDERSTAND THE PRESENT. WRITE ON BOTH THE VIEWS AND GIVE YOUR OPINION .

Primitive history is the most valuable possession of mankind and is being preserved in the form of books and artefacts. Few individuals surmise that history depicts the old civilisations, their game plan and livelihood , whilst few believes it has nothing to do with our current trend. I will pen down both the pros and cons and will give my opinion on the same in the following passage .

On the one hand , yesteryear manifests the abiogenesis of life from a single unit called cell. The path paved by mankind , struggles faced by them can only be abstracted from ancient lifestyle. In addition , it will fabricate a sense of inspiration among young generations , when they get to know the  knowledge about their fore-fathers achievements . Additionally , modern scientists are implementing old scientists ideas and techniques in their upcoming researches. As an example, many pharmaceutical companies use ancient ayurvedic ideologies into the advancement of medicine.

On the other hand , bygone times related to freedom struggle and many others has least impact on the current peer group , as one can never address the exact ball game in the near future . Furthermore, each historical event has diverged perspectives , for this very reason it fashions learning history is a waste of time because events can also be interpreted in multiple ways as such, it makes what we learn in history non prominent.

To sum it up , though studying former times can not only deepens and widens one's knowledge but also helps oneself to develop the power of analysis. I believe studying ancient history has its own merits and demerits which concludes up of me being biased on the same.
