IELTS WRITING TASK 2 - AGREE/ DISAGREE - SATYA

Children can learn effectively by watching television. Therefore they should be encouraged to watch television regularly at home and at school.

To what extend do you agree or disagree?

Learning is a relentless process which can be approached as a long -term goal as there are no limitations to explore our wisdom. In an earlier era, books were the humongous source of information, yet, with the advancements in science and technology, in recent years, multiple technological devices also aid in the promotion of education in order to captivate the kids to have a wide -view, thereby, enabling them to think in varied dimensions. Some people suggest that they should be motivated to watch television frequently to enhance their intelligent quotient. I partially agree to this notion and I will elucidate my viewpoints in the upcoming paragraphs.

On one side,  Television essays the most predominant role in  this arena and  it is more evident that numerous programmes forecasted in the television help the students to acquire profound knowledge in various fields, henceforth, ascends their thinking capability as well as to raise queries of what? Why? And How? Furthermore, it activates them to participate in several competitions and exposes their innate skills in the global forum. For instance, the most popular international channels such as national geographic and discovery ignite the student's mind to experiment the subjects, pretermitting the rote memorization method.

On the flip side, If the younger generations were allowed to view television, irrespective of the time, obviously, they will be clung and addicted to that which results in the negative impacts, especially with regards to their attitudes, since less qualitative programmes  are also divulged periodically which can divert and deteriorate their thoughts which are not laudable. In addition to this, expending more time by watching television, in turn, affect their optical power to a greater extent probably can become a sober issue.

To end with, in my point of view, children can be allowed to watch TV beneath their parent's supervision in the specific time allocated for that and also should focus more on watching programmes which are essential for their positive  growth and development, certainly, should drive them to achieve their target and groom them in all aspects as a ravishing personality.
