IELTS WRITING - TASK 2 - SAMPLE - GAUTAM REDDY

It is often considered that change is more beneficial to people than trying to avoid it and have everything remain the same. Do you think the advantages of change outweigh the disadvantages?

‘Change is inevitable. Growth is optional‘. It is widely believed that escorting changes in their lives is more advantageous to people rather than trying to preclude them and get going with the same. How far do the alterations will pave a path for good prospects in one’s life? I firmly trust that, on the one side, by instilling necessary changes in one’s life has many advantages, also, on the other side, there are few negative reactions which I will elucidate in my subsequent paragraphs.

To commence with, inculcating appropriate and essential changes in one’s life may certainly result in uplifting that individual’s confidence, courageousness, self-esteem, and optimism thereby, in all likelihood, becoming a better person, owning a better tomorrow. To put it in another way, by incorporating the required changes, a person can not only discover new insights about different aspects of his/her life but also, he/she can gain an attribute of getting adapted to the latest trends, modern situations, and new environments very deftly, resulting in more flexible, developed and stronger person. Moreover, if people persistently remodel themselves from time to time, then life allows people to reevaluate their lives and perceive the things around them with a different and broader perspective.

On the flip side, changes often evolve from a subtle and complex progression, so the requirements like thinking, hesitating, stumbling backward, quite possibly, and starting all over again, could be few possible reasons for some people, who are trying to resist changes in their lives. Furthermore, as implanting the new changes being a subjective task, adaptation to few changes would take too long for some people, because, for them, an overnight or a short period may not be adequate, and also they might need a big-time humongous effort to overcome the tough periods. For instance, an individual, fighting to quit his smoking or working hard to secure a new job, may likely need to be involved in long-term functioning and enormous attempts of accomplishing it.

In conclusion, despite few complications, people should get adapted to the suitable and necessary alterations, by observing the situations and circumstances around, analyzing its consequences, understanding both pros and cons, and applying the requisite changes which are essential, resulting in their healthier and gleeful lives.
