Some believe that music is a good way of bringing people of cultures and ages together. To what extent do you agree or disagree with statement ?

Every society considers art and music as the core components of their culture. Most people opine that music is a great way to promote cohesion among various cultures and age groups. However, the content and genre of music also play a commendable role. I agree with the statement that music which is soothing and widely acceptable can be used for promoting harmony. 

In these highly stressful times, music can be sought as a way to bring people together and with various platforms of digital media, music lovers are able to break barriers and unite enthusiastically. People join hands for several charitable causes on grounds of their common liking for music. For example, the sad demise of chester bennington, the lead singer of the band linkin park bought together various fan communities. Social media was swarmed with tributaries and public gatherings were held at various locations to offer respects. 

However, there are certain factors such as genre and lyrics which can affect this. For example, western music might receive severe criticism from a person who interests in classical music. If someone is not proficient in English, one might not prefer spending time with people who discuss English music. While, many young people love listening to untraditional sounds, most elderly people instead enjoy songs with positive or motivational meanings. And this phenomena is truely natural because generation to generation, tastes change radically as new genres appear and disappear.

In conclusion,music is an important part of people’s lives. It can act as a powerful means of uniting people of different cultures and ages keeping aside the fact that likings differ on an individual basis.

Some people think that it should be compulsory for people to retake their driving test every five years. What are the advantages and disadvantages of doing this? Have you ever been to any island? Yes, I have! Actually, I lived on an island for 3 months back in 2016. My mother was offered to work at a resort for 2 years, so I joined them there for 3 months.  Isl and life was quite an interesting experience! Are there any islands in your country? Yes, there are. There is one famous island called X, famed for its  crystal clear  water and white sands. I’ve heard the pagodas are very interesting to visit there, as well.
