Why shopping these days has become a form of entertainment rather than just buying what is needed. Is it a positive or negative trend? Give reasons for this and your opinion.



Earlier shopping used to be a simple and essential act but in the present day, it has become a leisure act for so many people as well as it is also referred to as one of the entertainment activities by netizens. If this shopping activity continues like this, it will drive the citizens in negative development and it is harmful to society. In the following paragraphs, I will pen down the issues regarding shopping and give my opinion in the end.

To begin with, firstly, the major reason for people going gaga over purchasing is because of large shopping malls. They are attractive and became a source of recreational activities. Secondly, instead of buying products, some people are using these places like amusement parks to meet their friends and family members. Thirdly, whenever citizens get bored, they visit and refresh their minds by roaming inside these shopping areas.

In order to deal with this, the public needs to focus on how to spend their valuable time on real-time hobbies like sports, music, and many others. In addition, citizens can enroll themselves by joining gymnasiums to stay fit and healthy. Furthermore, people can improve their relations with neighbours and community members by conducting competitive community sports events and these events will help them to become a stronger society in the future.

To conclude, shopping is a fundamental activity and one is wise enough to understand that and focus more on healthy activities which are actually helpful personally and also for society too.

Have you ever been to any island? Yes, I have! Actually, I lived on an island for 3 months back in 2016. My mother was offered to work at a resort for 2 years, so I joined them there for 3 months.  Isl and life was quite an interesting experience! Are there any islands in your country? Yes, there are. There is one famous island called X, famed for its  crystal clear  water and white sands. I’ve heard the pagodas are very interesting to visit there, as well.
